Intrinio and BridgeFT’s WealthTech API: Better Market Data

The partnership offers growing access to a wide range of market data that is pre-integrated with BridgeFT’s WealthTech API infrastructure

Just this past week, Intrinio announced a major strategic partnership with BridgeFT, a cloud-native, API-first wealth infrastructure software company whose WealthTech API is the industry’s first WealthTech-as-a-Service platform, offering a single, open API to trade-ready, multi-custodial data, analytics, and applications.

Through this partnership, BridgeFT wealth-tech clients will be able to access both custodial and market data through a single API.

At Intrinio, we couldn’t be more excited. Our mission is to use data to power a new generation of fintech innovation. We serve innovators across many disciplines: trading apps, systematic hedge funds, retail education platforms, corporate innovators, university researchers, and more. Through this partnership, we extend our services into the wealth-tech platform space, helping power mission-critical market data into innovative wealth-tech apps.

This partnership is remarkable in another important way. Innovators in the wealth and investment space require a multitude of resources to launch and provide quality service. This includes, but is not limited to, database infrastructure, investment software, client management software, custodial data, market data, and more. The archaic infrastructure of custodial data and oligopoly of market data forces fintech companies and other financial institutions to build custom data connections for each custodian and each market data vendor and manage complex exchange licenses to access essential market data. It can take an inordinate amount of time and resources to acquire and integrate all of these technologies; this drastically slows the pace of innovation in financial services.

As the latest partner to join BridgeFT’s WealthTech API Marketplace, Intrinio is making a full suite of data available to BridgeFT’s clients through a single API, greatly reducing the burden on RIAs and wealth-tech platforms. Some of the data available includes fundamentals and SEC data, real-time, intraday, and historical stock prices, real-time, intraday, and historical options prices, analyst estimates, and more.

This API-first approach to delivering application services that are pre-integrated with BridgeFT’s WealthTech API infrastructure will save fintech and wealthtech clients an enormous amount of time, money, and resources.

Hear about the impact directly from the CEO’s of BridgeFT and Intrinio:

“Through this partnership, we are providing more options to our financial and fintech clients via our first-of-its-kind WealthTech API Marketplace,” said BridgeFT Chief Executive Officer Joe Stensland. “Intrinio is a highly innovative firm delivering mission-critical market data through an API-first platform. We’re super excited  about this partnership between two firms with very similar strategies to enable the technology infrastructure that is powering the next generation of wealthtech application development.”

“Consolidating resources into a single API is poised to revolutionize the entire financial industry. Together, we’re making it simple and straightforward to harness a full suite of data, which serves as the foundation of every transaction,” said Rachel Carpenter, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Intrinio. “We are proud to join with BridgeFT to further build out the applications available through their WealthTech API Marketplace, and we look forward to helping to usher in a new and better way to manage financial information.”
